Midnight In The Garden Of Good & Evil

I really liked this movie. I would not put it in the top 10 films I saw in 1997, but it is pretty good none the less. The movie is about a reporter (John Cusack) who goes to Savannah to cover a pretty big Christmas party for "Town & Country" magazine but stays when the host (Kevin Spacey) kills a "guest" in self-defense. The reporter stays on afterwards to act as a private investigator to help the host build his defense. Nothing is what it appears. The movie takes a very long time to build, but the pay off is worth it. The friend I saw this with said that this is based on a true story & some of the actual characters from the book/murder trial play themselves in the movie.
